Internet security alert
26/03/12 17:57 Filed in:Alerts
Yes, the clocks have gone forward and it’s security warning time again.
A warning from Suffolk Constabulary (in a letter to a friend following a spate of house burglaries in the Knodishall, Marlesford, Leiston, Heveningham, Badingham and Bungay area). Probably only affects computers with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
Whilst using the internet, a message flashes up onto your screen, which you will also find locks your computer, with words to the effect of it being from the Metropolitan and Strathclyde Police (or similar forces). The message will imply that you have been viewing unsuitable web sites and they have locked your computer to prevent further viewing; you are then asked to pay £100 or a similar amount to have your screen unlocked, but even if you pay you will find your machine remains unusable... Music in Felixstowe - February Newsletter
07/02/12 15:10 Filed in:Music
We’re into February having had 2 memorable concerts in January. The first with the Classic Strings was judged to be the best yet by some.
The two performances of Mozart by candlelight were wonderful, and the visiting musicians both remarked how challenging and rewarding it was to have so many in the audience and in such close proximity!
I was in a dilemma as to whether to continue having lost £3,000 last year on the concerts. Please support the concerts when you can – we need you!
The next concert is on February 12th at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Old Felixstowe, and features the Ward Quartet. Read More...
