Latest updates from Kirton & Falkenham PC

Innocence Farm update
We met with Philip Ridley (SCDC, Head of Planning) on 16th March to raise our concerns about the IF Scoping Document. He advised that no Planning Application is in place, and Bidwells had been advised that it would be unwise for them to pursue an application outside of the Local Plan Review (to cover the next 20 years). The Review is currently underway within SCDC and first consultation with Parish Councils expected to start in June/July, with a target of mid 2019 for full adoption. See website for more detail and how to get involved.

Worrying Housing land 'call for sites' news
During our twice yearly meeting with the Port of Felixstowe on 17th March, Bidwells (on behalf of Trinity College) informed that they have submitted the following sites in response to the 'SCDC call for sites': Bucklesham Rd/Trimley Rd from Innocence Lane to the first housing opposite Falkenham Rd; Land opposite Park Lane.
The expectation is that SCDC will include these in their Local Plan Review commencing June/July.  See website for more detail and how to get involved.

Poor state of Innocence Lane and Back Road
Following inspection with SCC Highways its unlikely that we'll get a short term fix, read more on the web site as well as how to make a claim should your vehicle sustain damage.

Community Emergency Plan
Residents of Kirton and Falkenham should by now have received a news letter outlining the Community Emergency Plan, and requesting details of people in need of assistance and those able to offer assistance, in the case of an emergency.  If you haven't already done so please download and complete the form as appropriate.  Thankyou.
