Kirton Community Shop & Café
Hi,
Having recently purchased the Old Post Office building, we are in the process of setting up a Community shop and Café.
The intention is that it is run by the community FOR the community.
We will have a stall set up at the Village Fete on the 3rd of June at the Rec so please come and have a chat with us if you have ideas, would like to get involved or just want to know more about what we are trying to do.

Following the council elections in May, when only 7 Parishioners put themselves forward for the eleven vacancies, the Parish Council is required to fill the vacancies by co-option. It has succeeded in filling 3 of the vacancies, but one still remains for Kirton.

A MOBILE SHOP now comes to Kirton Green every Wednesday morning from 9 - 10.30
The shop, operated by Damien Payton, is well stocked carrying fruit and fresh local vegetables, dairy products, ham, bacon, sausages and eggs all from local producers. Fresh bread from The Bakehouse in Woodbridge is also on offer together with general groceries, household items, health & beauty products, pet food, baby care products including nappies and simple pharmaceutical items.
If you are elderly and unable to get out and about you can place an order in advance and it will be delivered to your door.

There is a proposal to run Ballroom Dancing lessons in the Church Hall on Friday.
There could be children’s lessons at 4pm and adult lessons at 7pm.
This all depends on the support given and advertisements are going up now!

Would you like to play an active role in conserving and enhancing your local trees and woods, if so we are looking for a
VOLUNTEER TREE WARDEN for Kirton and Falkenham
Tree Wardens are volunteers who keep an eye open for tree problems, instigate tree and hedge planting and may coordinate a veteran tree or hedgerow survey in their Parish. A programme of events and training courses are offered during the year, you receive a comprehensive tree manual and a newsletter. If you would like further information go to
