Dorian Singers – A Summer Cocktail

DORIAN SINGERS IN THEIR 30TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR
present
A SUMMER COCKTAIL
2nd July 7.30 p.m Kirton Church Hall

As the title suggests this will be a light-hearted evening or as Jean Shaw the Musical Director says music from the sublime to the ridiculous.

As a tribute to the late Jack Hawes, who was their accompanist in earlier days they will sing 3 songs ‘To Music’ which he composed for their 10th Anniversary.
The beautiful ‘Londonderry Air’ the sublime, to the hilarious rendition of ‘We do like to be beside the Seaside’ the ridiculous, part songs and a selection from the wonderful Les Misérables, all of these sung in the Dorian Singers inimitable style. Their resident pianist, Judith Inge, will also be playing for your enjoyment.
Some talented individual members of the Singers will be singing solos, some with a comedic slant. Also some will be performing as Barbershop Quartet, always popular and much more.

Their second concert in this their 30th year is going be a joyous occasion.
All this and the traditional Strawberries and Wine always served at the Summer Concert in the interval.
Tickets limited to 100 so please book early to avoid disappointment,
Tickets at £8 and £7 concessions to include Strawberries and Wine are available from The Card Centre Bent Hill or from choir members.
Every year the Dorian Singers nominate a charity and this year it is the St. Elizabeth Hospice. So get your tickets and come along on the 2nd July for a superb evening and support the Hospice.
