"Give it a Go!" is a new hotline for older people in Suffolk to find out how and where to volunteer their services. Research shows that volunteering helps people stay active, happy and feeling valued and even volunteering for 20 minutes a week can make all the difference. The hotline service will be launched on Tuesday 25 September 2007.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

Community Woodland initiative:green light trust

  • Would you like Kirton & Falkenham to have a Community Woodland?
  • Would you like to see our villages' children actively involved in planting and caring for young trees?
  • Would you like to be part of a large group of people of all ages working towards the creation, planting, maintenance and enjoyment of a new woodland in the village – something which we can enjoy today and leave for the people of tomorrow?

About 40 people attended the public meeting held on Tuesday 6 March at 7:30pm in the Church Hall with a presentation by the Green Light Trust..
See the Organisations section for the project's own page or click on the Community Woodland button on the left.
Email woodland @ kirton-suffolk.info if you wish to become involved.
