At the Annual Parish Council Meeting in May 2007, Michael Paul was re-elected Chairman and Brian Barker elected Vice-chairman. Following the May elections 3 vacancies remained to be filled for Kirton. It was agreed that Miss Laura Doggett be co-opted to the Council and other names for co-option be sought before the next meeting. Read More...

The Annual Meeting of the Parish in April 2007 was attended by 35 parishioners and councillors.
Mr Duncan Foster and 2 colleagues gave a presentation on the development plans for “The Maltings”, which is to include 5 houses and a single shared equity house. The existing listed building is to be restored and extended. Plans of the proposals were available at the meeting.
